生活準備

今日は午前中にイントラシステム開発会社のマイケルとミーティング。
小柄なスキンヘッドの優しげなナイスガイ。

エンジニアとしては結構優秀なようで、要望を出すとすぐに対応してくれるらしい。
ただ品質は怪しいと…。
今回も午前中に指摘した内容が夕方には修正されていた。

昼食はPUBへ。日本の居酒屋と同じように、昼はランチをやっているところが多い。
ソーセージ＆マッシュポテトとハウスサラダを注文。
まだ外食ばかりなので、どうにも野菜不足になっちゃうからね。


午後は来週から始まる出張地獄のプロジェクトの説明。
日本での研修にちょっとしか参加できなかったので。
全く専門外の仕事なんだけど…。ん〜まあ何とかなるでしょう。

そうこうしているうちに、不動産会社のAsamiさんからオファー内容の確認メールが。
若干漏れがあったので直してもらって、大家さんに伝えてもらう。
明日には回答あるかしら？
とりあえず要望なので出せるだけ出しておいた方がいいって言われて好き放題書いておいた（笑）


そして今は部屋でカーリングカップの試合を見ながら、
フルーツをつまみにイギリスビール☆

カーリングカップは日本で言うところのナビスコカップみたいな位置付けで、
プレミアのチームにとってはそれほどプライオリティが高くないはずなのに、
平日のゴールデンタイムにBBCで生放送。

しかも決勝でも何でもないのに解説者が３人もいて（日本じゃ代表戦だって３人はそうそうない）、
試合開始前にはオープニングイベント的なものが開かれてる。
本当にサッカーが国民的スポーツであり、生活の一部なんだな〜と感じるね。

もちろんプレーのレベルも高いし、審判も上手い。
PKも躊躇なく取るし、判断も正確で早い。毅然としてるし。

新聞でも、裏表紙（日本のラテ欄のところ）から3〜4ページはサッカーネタ。
朝刊だけでなく、夕刊もそうだから驚く。今日の試合の見所とか。
基本的に裏表紙側はスポーツ欄なんだけど、ほとんどがサッカーで、ちらっとクリケットとかテニスとか。
テニスは当然アンディ・マレーの記事。

ちなみに新聞は無料で配られてる。
地下鉄の駅で配っているので、行きも帰りもそれをもらって読む。
一応有料のものもあるけど、どうせ読むのが遅くて全部は読めないから無料のやつで十分。
毎日スポーツ欄から読み始め、他の欄に行く前に会社 or 仮住まいの最寄駅に着く（笑）
電車に乗ってるのはせいぜい15〜20分位なので、今は3〜4ページが限度だな。

パナソニックの小さなブラウン管テレビでサッカー観戦（リバプール vs マンチェスターシティ）を楽しんでます。
